Indriyanto Seno Adji Replaces Artidjo, KPK Supervisory Board Consider Jokowi's Choice Right
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean, assessed that the election of Indriyanto Seno Adji as a member was correct.
This was conveyed by Tumpak after President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) made the inauguration at the State Palace, Jakarta this afternoon.
"Very good. I totally agree because he also has experience in the KPK as the acting (Plt) leadership," said Tumpak when contacted by reporters, Wednesday, April 28.
With Indriyanto entering to replace Artidjo Alkostar who died on February 28, he hopes that the performance of the KPK Supervisory Board will improve.
In line with Tumpak, another member of the KPK Supervisory Board, Syamsuddin Haris, also considered President Jokowi's decision to be correct. He also emphasized that this election was not intervened by anyone.
"The matter of replacing the late Pak Artidjo as a member of Dewas is of course the President's authority. Dewas is in a position to accept whoever was ultimately appointed by the president," he said.
As previously reported, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) appointed Professor of Criminal Law from the University of Indonesia, Indriyanto Seno Adji as a member of the KPK Supervisory Board. Indriyanto was appointed to replace Artidjo Alkostar, who died from illness on February 28.
The inauguration was held at the State Palace on Wednesday, April 28 at around 15.30 WIB. This event still followed strict health protocols and was attended by limited invitations, one of which was the Chairman of the KPK Supervisory Board, Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean.

"I swear that I am to do or not do something in this task, never to receive directly or indirectly from anyone a promise or gift," he added.
