The National Police Chief Invites The Community To Make The Momentum On Good Friday Strengthening Unity

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo invites the Indonesian people to interpret the sacred momentum of Good Friday to strengthen national unity.

"Let's make this momentum to reflect, renew faith, and deepen love as a provision to strengthen unity," said General Pol. Sigit in his statement in Jakarta, Friday, April 18, was confiscated by Antara.

The unity, he said, would be ammunition to realize the ideals of an Advanced Indonesia and a 2045 Golden Indonesia.

In addition, the National Police Chief also congratulated the Christians who celebrate.

In his remarks, the four-star police general cited the meaning of Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross as a symbol of the sins of the people based on affection for His people.

According to him, there are valuable messages and lessons that Christians can take from this incident.

"This incident reminds us that behind suffering, there is hope; behind pain, there is safety; and behind death, there is a new life," he said.

It is known that Good Friday is one of the big days in the Christian tradition which is commemorated in memory of the crossing and death of Jesus Christ in Calvari. This holy day falls on the last Friday before Easter Day, also known as Holy Friday, Black Friday, or Good Friday and Holy Friday.

In the commemoration of Good Friday, Christians remember the events of Jesus' sacrifice who was willing to suffer and die on the cross as a defender of human sins. This event became the culmination of Jesus' mission during His life in the world, which made the day called Agung.
