Prevent 3 Prospective Illegal Migrant Workers From Departing To Oman And UAE, KemenP2MI Legal Process 1 Suspected Perpetrator
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KemenP2MI) has taken precautions against 3 prospective female Indonesian migrant workers (CPMI) who will depart non-procedurally or illegally to Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The prevention was successfully carried out starting with the KemenP2MI team who received information that there was an alleged illegal CPMI shelter in one of the units of the Damar Tower of the Kalibata City Apartment, South Jakarta on Thursday, April 17 at around 13.00 WIB.
"Then the team coordinated with the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit to jointly carry out prevention and rescue of 3 prospective Indonesian migrant workers," wrote a press release from the Ministry of P2MI, Friday, April 18.
The search was then carried out at an illegal CPMI shelter in the Kalibata Apartment on the same day at 18.00. From this activity, officers arrested 1 suspect with the initials AK and 3 CPMI women.
The 3 CPMIs have the initials JJ from North Sulawesi, SW from North Sulawesi, and OSS from South Sulawesi. The three plan to be employed as household assistants with the lure of a salary of Rp. 6-7 million per month.
During the search, the team also confiscated the third CPMI document in the form of tourist visas as well as passports and tickets to Jakarta-Muskat, Oman and Oman-Dubai, UAE.

Furthermore, the 3 female CPMIs were handed over to the South Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters for further questioning with the assistance of the KemenP2MI Rapid Response Team (TRC).
KemenP2MI juga memproses hukum terduga pelaku AK dengan menyerahkannya ke Polres Metro Jakarta Selatan untuk ditindaklanjutkan berdasarkan Laporan Polisi bernomor LP/B/1281/IV/2025/SPKT/Polres Metro Jaksel/Polda Metro Jaya dengan didakwa melanggar Pasal 81 UU No. 18 Tahun 2017 Jo Pasal 69 dan atau Pasal 2 ayat (2) UU No. 21 Tahun 2007 tentang tindak pidana perdagangan orang (TPPO).
