Vladislav Ivanov 'Lelush', A Participant In The 2021 Produce Camp Competition Who Wants To Be Eliminated

JAKARTA - The reality survival competition is always filled with touching and hopeful stories. However, who would have thought that this time a unique story came from one of the participants.

Recently, the name Vladislav Ivanov has become the talk of the internet. Known by the stage name Lelush, Vladislav is a participant in Produce Camp 2021.

Produce Camp 2021 or Chuang 2021 is a reality survival competition from China. This program is the Chinese version of Produce 101 which was previously known in South Korea.

Through this program, Tencent Video plans to form a male group targeting the Chinese market to the international market.

In accordance with the original concept, the participants will compete with each other for 11 positions to debut in the group formed by Tencent. Spectators can give support every week so that their choices are not eliminated.

There are different grades for participants who received positive to negative ratings, ranging from grades A to F.

Vladislav Ivanov is a part-time model from Vladivostok. This 27-year-old man originally worked as a translator for the 2021 Produce Camp event.

Once, the show's producers saw Ivanov's visuals that looked attractive and immediately asked him to participate as a contestant. He was interested and tried it, but after a while he immediately regretted it.

Unfortunately, because he had already signed an event contract, Ivanov had to pay a fine if he wanted to leave in the middle of the competition.

As a result, instead of paying a fine, Ivanov remained committed to participating in the competition process, starting from practicing choreography and singing songs. He also asked the audience not to support him so that he always got the lowest order.

"Don't love me, you will not get the result," Ivanov said on one occasion, reported The Guardian. In fact, several times he wished he did not advance to the next stage.

Lelush also performed a song but didn't really pay attention to appearance. But on the other hand, his supporters are growing.

His considerable support made Lelush continue to compete for three months. His followers on the Weibo social media also reached 840 thousand. Again, Lelush couldn't do anything about it.

After reaching the final episode in mid-April, Lelush did not manage to get much support and failed to become the final group line-up. Elimination of Lelush has also become popular on Weibo and has over 180 million views.

Citing SCMP, Lelush's friend Ivan Wang said Lelush didn't like being in front of the camera. Ivan Wang is the person who connected Lelush to the translation work at Produce Camp 2021.
