BPJS Employment Accompanied By The Governor Of Jakarta Visits The Funeral Home Of The Cempaka Putih PPSU Officer
JAKARTA - BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (BPJamsostek) accompanied the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, during a visit to the funeral home of the late Teguh Budiarto, a Cempaka Putih Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling Officer (PPSU) who died while on duty, on Monday, April 15.
Also attending the visit were the Mayor of Central Jakarta, Arifin, and the Head of the DKI Jakarta BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Regional Office, Deny Yusyulian, along with his staff at the funeral home located in Cempaka Putih Timur, Central Jakarta.
"Today we accompanied the Governor of Jakarta to pay their respects and stay in touch with the family of the deceased. On this occasion, we also conveyed the benefit rights of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan program which is the right of the heirs," he said.
Teguh Budiarto, died after being found unconscious on the side of the road while carrying out his duties. The deceased is registered as an active participant in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan in two programs, namely Work Accident Insurance (JKK) and Death Security (JKM).
Teguh's heirs received JKK benefits in the form of compensation of Rp259,044,528, periodic compensation of Rp12,000,000, funeral compensation of Rp10,000,000, and benefits of educational scholarships worth Rp69,000,000.
"On behalf of the big family of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, we express our deepest condolences. We are fully committed to providing protection and a quick response to all claims of the participants," he said.
Deny emphasized that the presence of the state through BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is a tangible form of social protection and welfare for all workers in Indonesia, regardless of the type of profession.
Employment social protection is the basic right of every worker. Through BPJS Employment, the government seeks to prevent and reduce extreme poverty. Being a participant is not just an obligation, but is the right of all workers," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of the Jakarta Gambir BPJS Employment Branch Office, M. Reza Sahria, also expressed his condolences.
"We hope that the benefits of this compensation can be utilized as well as possible to ease the burden and ensure the survival of the deceased's family in order to remain prosperous," he said.
For information, participants who died were not due to work accidents entitled to death insurance compensation (JKM) of Rp. 42 million and educational scholarships for a maximum of two children. Meanwhile, in the case of death due to work accidents, the heirs will receive compensation of 48 times the reported wages.
