WhatsApp Prepares Instagram-style "Music Cards" Feature For Status

JAKARTA - WhatsApp is developing a new feature that allows users to add music with a more attractive look to their status update, similar to the Instagram Stories feature. This finding was revealed through the latest version of the APK teasedown WhatsApp (v2.25.12.19), which shows the existence of a code for several new layouts in sharing music in status.

So far, when users add music to WhatsApp status, the song only appears at the top of the status simply. But in the future, users will be able to choose from a variety of more visual and interesting music cards as is common on Instagram.

Some of the new music cards being developed look like they have different designs, including:

Cards with background images and song lyrics,

A minimalist display with a focus on title and artist,

The plain version contains only music without additional designs.

This flexibility allows users to adjust their status to their respective styles, from simple to colorful and expressive ones.

This feature has not been released publicly. Because this is the result of the APKEARdown, it is not certain that this feature will come directly to the official version. However, given the success of the music card on Instagram, it is likely that Meta will launch it for WhatsApp in the near future.
