Moge Royal Enfield Confiscated From Ridwan Kamil's House Has Not Been Taken To The KPK Rupbasan

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the big motorbike with the Royal Enfield brand that was confiscated from the house of former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil or Kang Emil had not been taken to the Confiscated Property Storage House (Rupbasan). The vehicle is still in Bandung, West Java.

This forced effort was carried out by investigators related to the corruption case in the placement of advertisements for PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) for the period 2021-2023.

"The position of the vehicle being confiscated is still being lent to the person concerned. So there has been no shift to the Rupbasan. (The Meeting, red) is Royal Enfield," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, April 16.

This motorbike will later be taken to the KPK Rupbasan like other assets suspected of being related to corruption cases. "Just waiting for the process. It's still in process," said Tessa.

Tessa said the assets that had been confiscated but were still borrowed, such as Ridwan Kamil's Royal Enfield motorbike, should not be changed in shape or changed hands. If this is violated, the perpetrator can be charged with Article 21 of the Anti-Corruption Law regarding the obstruction of justice.

"If it is done by anyone who has been given a permit, of course there are sanctions. In this case, the connection is article 21, it can be obstructed from the investigation or in terms of value, it can be asked to be replaced, of course, according to the value when the vehicle was confiscated," he explained.

Previously reported, the KPK has named five suspects in the corruption case in the placement of advertisements for PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) for the period 2021-2023.

They are former President Director of Bank BJB Yuddy Renaldi; Head of Bank BJB Corporate Secretary Division Widi Hartoto; Agency Control Antedja Muliatama and Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri Kin Asikin Dulman; Agency Controller BSC Advertising and PT Wahana Semesta Bandung Ekspres (WSBE) Suhendrik; and Controller of PT Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama (CKSB) and PT Cipta Karya Mandiri Bersama (CKMB) Raden Sophan Jaya Kusuma. The investigation warrant (sprindik) was issued on February 27, 2025.

In this case, the KPK suspects that there was an unlawful act in the process of placing advertisements in a number of media. As a result, the state lost up to IDR 222 billion.

Currently, the detention has not been carried out on five suspects. However, they have been prevented from traveling abroad for six months and can be extended as needed.
