Passing The Administrative Selection, Nurul Ghufron, Former Deputy Chairperson Of The KPK, Claims To Be Summoned As Supreme Court Justice

JAKARTA - Former Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron admitted that he was called to participate in the selection of Supreme Court justices organized by the Judicial Commission (KY).

Ghufron conveyed this after passing the administrative selection of candidates for Supreme Court justices in 2025. In total there are 161 candidates for Supreme Court justices and 18 candidates for Ad Hoc judges entering the next stage.

"I feel called upon by the invitation of KY to call the best son and have the capacity and commitment to enforce the law," Ghufron told reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, April 16.

He hopes that this selection process can run well. Thus, the best judge can be elected.

"Hopefully this selection process will be able to find the best prospective judges for legal needs in Indonesia," he said.

The spokesman for KY Mukti Fajar said the selection was looking for five Supreme Court justices of the Criminal Chamber, three Supreme Court justices of the Civil Chamber, two Supreme Court justices of the Chamber of Religion, one Supreme Court judge of the Military Chamber, one Supreme Court judge of the State Chamber of Administration (TUN), five Supreme Court justices of the special TUN for taxes, and three Supreme Court justices ad hoc HAM in the Supreme Court.

This registration, continued Mukti, was closed on Thursday, April 10 after being extended from 27 March. In total there were 183 applicants for Supreme Court justices and 24 applicants for ad hoc HAM judges at the Supreme Court for confirmation.

"This administrative selection is measured based on indicators of completeness of files and suitability of requirements. Congratulations to the prospective candidates for the selection of candidates for Supreme Court justices and candidates for ad hoc HAM judges in the Supreme Court who passed the administrative selection," Mukti said in a written statement, Tuesday, April 15.
