Megawati Joins Gresik Petrokimia, Ready To Enliven Proliga 2025

JAKARTA volleyball star Megawati Hanggetri Pertiwi officially joined Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia ahead of the first series of the 2025 Four Proliga Finals.

This assurance was revealed by the club by uploading a new video to introduce Megawati as their new player on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

In the video, Megawati is seen wearing a yellow costume of the pride of Petrochemicals with the number eight jersey, a figure identical to the player.

However, Petrokimia does not guarantee Megawati will immediately play for the team. The decision he can appear or not will depend heavily on the results of the medical check.

"PBV Petrokimia Gresik is committed to ensuring the health and safety of players, stay tune, yes, for us to support Megawati to join us," wrote Petrokimia.

Megawati joined Gresik Petrokimia after not extending her contract with Red knowledge, the team she helped reach the final in South Korea's highest-level league this season.

Unfortunately, their journey in the competition ended as runners-up. Megawati and her friends had to settle for the second podium after losing against Pink Spiders.

Before defending Redmen for the second season, Megawati had helped Jakarta BIN become the champion in the women's Proliga 2024 category. However, Jakarta BIN is absent this year.

The 2025 Proliga Four Finals will begin on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at GOR Jayabaya, Kediri. However, Gresik Petrokimia will only play their first match on Friday, April 18, 2025, against Jakarta Popsivo Polwan.
