The Suspect In The Case Of An Indonesian Citizen From India Is Released Without Quarantine Without Being Detained
JAKARTA - The police named four suspects who helped pass Indonesian citizens (WNI) from India without going through the quarantine stage. The four suspects were not detained.
"We are not detaining them," said Head of Public Relations at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus to waratwan, Wednesday, April 28.
The reason there were no arrests, said Yusri, was because the criminal sentences committed by the suspects were under five years in prison.
"Because he is being suspected in the law on health quarantine and an epidemic that carries one year in prison, so he will not be detained," said Yusri.
The police previously arrested another suspect in a case of helping to pass an Indonesian citizen (WNI) from India without going through quarantine. The suspect belongs to the father-son group with the initials S and RW.
"Now one more suspect has developed with the initials GC," continued Yusri.
Based on the investigation, this suspect has a big role. He was the one who passed the Indonesian citizen, initials JD, to enter Indonesia from India without a quarantine process.
"So in the first stage, checking the matter of health administration for immigration, then quarantine is determined if he is negative and then goes to a hotel that has been determined according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health. Entering the second stage, he will be escorted to the referral hotel," said Yusri.
"So at which hotel is the role of GC data on people so this is for example a reference for hotel A from the government. But people who come in do not come in. After he gets the money, the person can go straight home," Yusri continued.
