Regarding The Invitation To Empty Accounts At Bank DKI, Kadin Asks Customers Not To Be Provoked
Deputy Chairperson of the Central Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Regional Autonomy, Sarman Simanjorang, hopes that customers will not be provoked by an invitation to vacate Bank DKI's account.
Moreover, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has guaranteed the security of customer data and funds in the system recovery process.
According to Sarman, currently Bank DKI is one of the largest Regional Development Banks (BPD) in Indonesia. So that it has an important role in economic turnover and development in Jakarta.
Bank DKI is not just a place to store customer money, but also a role in the development and economic turnover in Jakarta. Because Bank DKI also has various social programs for the community such as empowering Small and Micro Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) which have proven to be the pillars of the country's economy. Especially Jakarta, "said Sarman in a written statement, Monday, April 14.
Therefore, he considered, an invitation to vacate Bank DKI accounts circulating on online media and social media is not a wise thing.
This is because it will have a greater loss to the Jakarta economy and have implications for the economy of the people themselves.
"We both know that Bank DKI is the only bank owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. Through this bank, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has rolled out various social programs in the form of social assistance. Such as the Jakarta Pinter Card (KJP), the Jakarta Elderly Card (KLJ), even capital assistance to MSMEs is also carried out through Bank DKI. So, I think the invitation to vacate Bank DKI's account is not something that is wise and does not need to be responded to," he added.
Moreover, said Sarman, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung and the President Director of Bank DKI, Agus Haryoto Widodo, repeatedly emphasized that customer data and funds remained safe as long as transaction system improvements were being carried out.
"I appreciate the firm and quick steps taken by the Governor of DKI and the Board of Directors of Bank DKI in taking a stand to ensure that customer data and funds are safe. So with this statement, at least there is a guarantee that data and customers remain safe. So customers don't have to worry," he said.
Furthermore, Sarman stated, what Bank DKI is experiencing may even happen to other banks.
This is an experience that must be anticipated by the banking world in the future. Especially related to the transaction system.
"Anyone definitely doesn't expect this to happen. Not only customers, but also the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. But to see this problem we must be wise. However, Bank DKI must remain a bank of pride for Jakarta residents," he concluded.
