Train Cross Officers Become Suspects Of The Batara Kresna Train Collision Car Incident In Sukoharjo

SUKOHARJO - Sukoharjo Police have named a suspect in a collision involving the Batara Kresna Train (KA) and four-wheeled vehicles some time ago.

Sukoharjo Police Chief AKBP Anggaito Hadi Prabowo said that at the time, Surya Hendra Kusuma (29) was named a suspect. On this day, the suspect was examined.

Head of the Sukoharjo Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Zaenudin, said that the case is currently still in the process of being investigated. The suspect has not been detained.

"Seeing the progress first, what the results will be like before they can be detained," he said in Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, Antara, Monday, April 14.

As of Monday at 12.00 WIB, the suspect has not been seen visiting the Sukoharjo Police Office. Zaenudin said that if the suspect was not present, a second summons would be made.

Meanwhile, Surya is threatened with being subject to Article 359 or Article 360 of the Criminal Code. Article 359 regulates negligence that causes death, while Article 360 regulates negligence that causes injury or death.

"For the threat of imprisonment for a maximum of five years," he said.

Previously, on Wednesday, March 26, four travelers were killed in a collision between car number B 2283 BYJ and KA Batara Kresna who drove from Wonogiri to Sukoharjo.

From the results of the initial investigation of the collision that occurred at 08.30 WIB, it was caused by negligence from the bars officers who were late in closing the railroad bars, causing the car to enter the train line and be hit by the train.
