Dismissing Twin Matahari Issues, PAN: Minister Prabowo's Visit To Jokowi Regular Gathering

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Eko Hendro Purnomo, responded to the term 'Matuhari Kembar' which emerged after a number of ministers of the Red and White Cabinet met the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in Solo during the Lebaran moment. According to Eko, the term made by PKS politician Mardani Ali Sera was excessive.

Eko assessed that the meeting of the government ministers of President Prabowo Subianto and Jokowi was a regular gathering at Eid al-Fitr celebrations. He asked that the meeting was not perceived in various ways.

"In my opinion, this is a very reasonable moment, especially the nuances are still in the spirit of halalbihalal. So, I see this meeting as a form of ordinary friendship, there is no need for various kinds of discussion," Eko told reporters, Sunday, April 14.

"As for the term 'twin sun', I think it's too much," he continued.

Eko considers that the meeting between the ministers who today are assistants to President Prabowo and Jokowi as former presidents is to maintain good relations between national figures.

"I look at it like a child's relationship with parents, who should respect each other and maintain closeness. In our tradition, especially after Lebaran, friendship like this brings a lot of kindness," he said.

According to him, visiting the house of the former President does not always talk about politics, but also to strengthen ties of friendship.

"All parties understand their respective positions and roles. The current government runs with President Prabowo, and the ministers also work responsibly under his direction," he said.

It is known that two ministers in the Red and White Cabinet, namely Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, with Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono visiting the residence of former President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Jalan Kutai Utara 1, Sumber Village, Banjarsari District, Solo, Central Java, April 11.

Budi Gunadi and Sakti Wahyu Trenggono admitted to visiting Jokowi's residence in the context of friendship during the Eid al-Fitr atmosphere.

Apart from Budi and Trenggono, the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs, Zulkifli Hasan and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia also visited Jokowi's residence in Solo.

The visit of Prabowo's ministers also received the spotlight of PKS politician Mardani Ali Sera. He reminded that although friendship is good, it is important to avoid the existence of "twin suns" in the government.

"However, our president Pak Prabowo, and Pak Prabowo have shown their determination, capacity, commitment. And I don't think Pak Prabowo was offended when his minister went to Pak Jokowi."

"However, my message is only one, there should be no twin sun. Just one sun is tough, especially if it's two," said Mardani, Friday, April 11.

Even so, the Deputy PKS believes that Prabowo will not be offended by the visit of ministers to Jokowi, but emphasizes the importance of maintaining the dignity of the supreme leader.
