Tata Janeeta Hijab Travel Story: Starting From Dreams And Al-Qur'an Guidelines

JAKARTA - Singer Tata Janeeta shared an inspiring story about her decision to wear the hijab she had been living for more than a year. He revealed that the hijab process came from encouragement, not because of coercion or requests from anyone.

"(Hijab) It's been more than a year, just pray," said Tata Janeeta at Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, recently.

Tata emphasized that the decision to wear the hijab was a personal choice that naturally emerged. He felt there was no pressure from any party in taking this step.

"Masha Allah, there are no demands from anyone, no one has asked, suddenly everything is to close the aurat. No one has asked," continued Tata.

Tata's spiritual journey to the hijrah was also driven by his dreams and personal interactions with the Qur'an. He admitted that he often randomly opens the pages of the Koran when facing life problems, and surprisingly, often the things that are open are verses related to the hijab.

"Yes, I dream, then I like to read the Qur'an which is a verse as long as I open it. If there is a problem, then I hold the Al Qur'an and keep opening the Al Qur'an when I open the letter, what verses and what often appear about the hijab. It's just a hijab, "said Tata.

Before being determined to wear the hijab, Tata admitted that he had collected various headscarves, although he had not immediately worn them. But now, all the hijabs that used to be piled up are now used regularly.

"This is me two months or three months before wearing the hijab I gathered the hijab, but I tried it at that time, how come it felt like it wasn't appropriate, that was before. So a lot of piles, eh, now everything is used, thank God," he said.

Although many have complained about obstacles such as hotness or hair loss when wearing the hijab, Tata is grateful not to feel this way.

"There are (obstacles), but when I wear the hijab, thank God I've never been given hotness. People say if you wear a hot hijab or your hair goes out, thank God it's not," said Tata.
