Questioning The KKB In Papua, PKS Politicians: There Are Still Political Aspirations Unanswered

JAKARTA - Politician from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Mardani Ali Sera, assessed that the craze of the armed criminal group (KKB) in Papua, it is possible that there are still aspirations that the government has not answered. Because, so far, violence has repeatedly occurred in the land of paradise.

The DPR Commission II member also reminded President Joko Widodo to take a dialogue approach first in Papua in dealing with these problems. It is known, the President has instructed the TNI Commander and the Chief of Police to hunt down the KKB.

"Prioritize a direct dialogue approach to various strategic stakeholders in Papua, not just a military approach," suggested Mardani.

According to the chairman of the DPP PKS, inclusive dialogue is important to bring together the perspectives of the community and the government elite.

"We want to resolve conflicts, not maintain conflicts," he said. Therefore, Mardani asked President Jokowi to prefer a peaceful way in dealing with the KKB conflict in Papua. "It is important to make Papuans the subject, approach peacefully and 'give in' to a victory in life. together framed by peace, "said Mardani.

Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) ordered TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo to pursue and arrest the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua.

The hunt for the KKB was carried out after a gun battle with the authorities that killed the Head of Papua, Brigadier General TNI I Gusti Putu Danny Nugraha in Dambet village, Beoga District, Puncak Regency, Papua on Sunday afternoon 25 April 2021.

"I have also ordered the TNI Commander and the Police Chief to continue to chase and arrest all KKB members," Jokowi said at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday, April 26.
