Affirming Indonesia's Totality To Help Palestine, Foreign Minister Sugiono Ensures No Relocation Of Gazans

JAKARTA - Indonesia is ready to provide various assistance to Palestine, including playing a wider role if requested, ensuring that it is ready to accept war victims from the Gaza Strip for treatment and treatment, not for transfer from their homeland.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Thursday said President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed Indonesia's commitment to helping the Palestinian struggle.

It is said that the solidarity of the people and the Government of Indonesia is shown through various assistance in the form of capacity building, infrastructure development and humanitarian assistance.

Furthermore, it said, Indonesia also consistently encourages the resolution of the Palestinian conflict of Israel based on the principles of the Two-State Solution, and encourages the termination of all forms of violence.

Indonesia is also ready to play a wider war if requested by all relevant parties.

Not only that, if all parties want and agree, Indonesia is also ready to accept war victims, especially civilians, to carry out treatment and treatment in Indonesia.

In addition to injured victims, Indonesia is ready to accept orphans who are victims of war who require treatment due to the trauma they are experiencing.

"According to the President's direction, their presence in Indonesia is temporary and is not intended at all to move the Palestinians from their homeland," said Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono, launching a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thursday, April 10.

"I want to emphasize once again, Indonesia rejects every effort that will isolate or transfer Palestinians from their homeland. Any attempt to change Gaza's demographics is a violation of international law," said Foreign Minister Sugiono.

It is known, a number of countries have accepted Palestinians who were victims of war in the Gaza Strip, for example Egypt, Turkey, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Indonesia itself has sent the TNI Health Team to Egypt and Gaza to carry out this humanitarian mission.

In this regard, Indonesia is conducting consultations with various countries, especially with the Palestinian Government. Indonesia also needs to ensure that all these steps are fully carried out for the benefit of the Palestinian people and receive the support of the state in the region.

At the national level, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will also coordinate with relevant ministries and institutions to follow up on President Prabowo's directives, especially those related to technical aspects of its implementation since the departure and return of Palestinians.

The implementation time of the plan will be determined if all consultations with various countries and technical preparations can be completed.

Currently, the Indonesian government is continuing consultations with various countries and preparations at home, before the implementation of the plan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

"The condition is that all parties must agree to this. Second, they are only here for a while until they recover, and when they recover and are healthy again, Gaza's condition has allowed them to return to their area. I think that's the attitude of the Indonesian government. For that, I have to consult the regional leader," said President Prabowo.

The President explained that he deliberately came directly to the five countries to consult with the leaders of their respective countries, because the President said he continued to get calls and received envoys who asked Indonesia's readiness to help the situation in Gaza.
