Dozens Of Joint Personnel Hunt KKB Killing Dozens Of Gold Pendulang And Sandra Head Of Hamlet

JAKARTA - Dozens of joint personnel were deployed to hunt down members of the Armed Criminal Group (KkB) who have killed eleven gold collectors in Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains.

The joint team consisted of 15 Asmat Police personnel and 11 joint personnel from the Action Task Force and the Cartenz Peace Operations Gakkum Task Force.

"The Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force will continue to hunt down the perpetrators and ensure the safety of residents in Papua is maintained," said Head of Cartenz Peace Operations, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, in his statement, Thursday, April 10.

Currently, the joint team is in Mabul Village. They will collect witness statements, deepen information, and prepare a plan for the evacuation of victims.

Based on information, the perpetrator of the murder is a member of the KKB led by Elkius Kobak. To be sure, the investigation was carried out.

"We strongly condemn this heinous act. This is not only an attack on innocent civilians, but also a tangible form of human rights violation," he said.

In addition, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force for the Damai Cartenz Ops, Kombes Yusuf Sutejo, appealed to the public to remain calm and not to spread unverified information. His party will soon find the whereabouts of the perpetrators.

"We invite the whole community not to be provoked by hoax issues. Let's maintain stability and security together. We will continue to convey official information regularly based on valid data and the investigation process in the field," said Yusuf.

Meanwhile, the attack took place on Sunday, April 6. In addition to killing dozens of survivors, the KKB also took the head of the hamlet and his wife hostage.

Based on information, two people were held hostage named Dani and his wife, Gebi. Currently, the joint TNI-Polri team is still investigating their whereabouts.
