Pamtas Yonarmed 11 Kostrad And Malaysian Royal Army Start Patkor Series I 2025

The Pamtas Yonarmed 11 Kostrad Task Force together with the Malaysian Royal Army held a ceremony to open the 2025 Series I Coordination Patrol (Patkor) at the Serudong Post, the Indonesia-Malaysia border area.

The ceremony was attended by Lt. Col. Muhammad Ishraq bin Ibrahim, Commander Officer 3 RAMD as the leader of the delegation from Malaysia and his staff, as well as Lt. Col. Arm Gde Adhy Surya Mahendra, Dansatgas Pamtas Yonarmed 11 Kostrad, along with ranks from the Indonesian side.

Lt. Col. Muhammad Ishraq bin Ibrahim said that Patkor's activities had an important purpose, namely to find out and ensure the boundaries of the country's territory marked by the existence of the State Boundary Patok.

"In addition, Patkor also aims to improve the ability and professionalism of soldiers from both countries and strengthen cooperation between Indonesian and Malaysian military units in border areas," said Muhammad Ishraq, Wednesday, April 9.

Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Arm Gde Adhy Surya Mahendra emphasized that Patkor is a preventive measure against illegal activities in border areas, such as illegal logging, illegal mining, human trafficking, illegal border crossings, as well as other cross-border crimes such as drug smuggling and illegal goods.

"This Patkor Series I 2025 activity is a tangible manifestation of the joint commitment between the TNI and the Malaysian Royal Army in maintaining security stability in border areas and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the defense and security sector," he said.

The Patkor Series I 2025 activity will be carried out in the land border area between Indonesia and Malaysia.
