BAC 2025: Leo/Bagas Are Not Satisfied With Their Appearance
JAKARTA Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana's men's doubles are not satisfied with their performance after successfully qualifying for the second round of the 2025 Badminton Asia Championship (BAC).
Leo/Bagas added tickets to the second round for Indonesia after beating Takuchi Nomura/Yuichi Shimogami from Japan in two straight games 22-20 and 21-17 on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, afternoon WIB.
"Obviously we are not satisfied with today's performance. Individually, the game must be improved and there is more communication with the partner," Leo said in the statement.
Leo/Bagas are the first Indonesian men's doubles to qualify for the second round of this Super 1000 BWF level tournament. They then met the Chinese Taipei doubles, Lee Jhe Huei/Yang Po Hsuan.

Leo said that a number of changes in the field were still obstacles that disturbed them. The obstacles are wind conditions, shuttlecock speed, and lighting.
"The atmosphere and atmosphere of the BAC are the same as other tournaments. Because this is only Asia and the center of badminton power is in Asia, so everyone who plays is a good player," he said.
Apart from Leo/Bagas, other Indonesian representatives who qualified for the second round today were the women's doubles Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi and the women's singles Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi.
From the men's doubles number, Indonesia has lost the Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad pair Reza Pahlevi Isfahani. They came home after losing against the host pair, Chen Bo Yang/Liu Yi.
The two other couples who had not played when this news was written were Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin.
