TNI In Collaboration With SKK Migas To Lift KRI Nanggala-402 From The Bali Sea With A Depth Of 838 Meters

JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL) Admiral TNI Yudo Margono said that his party would collaborate with the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) to help lift the KRI Nanggala-402 which sank in Bali waters.

"Until now, the position of the ship has not shifted," said Kasal Yudo Margono as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 27.

KSAL said that his party also carried out security at the sinking location of the submarine by alerting officers at the location.

"In the future we propose to do the appointment, and we have coordinated with SKK Migas because they have the ability to lift the ship," continued Yudo Margono.

His party has coordinated with the police, and the aslog officer has also contacted SKK Migas so that the ship can be appointed immediately.

"Just ask for his prayers so that the ship can be immediately lifted. Currently it is still in a meeting and how much weight is calculated, from the pictures," said KSAL.

KSAL Admiral TNI Yudo Margono previously said that the sinking of the KRI Nanggala-402 occurred not because of a "human error".

"I believe this (the sinking of KRI Nanggala, ed) is not due to 'human error', but more on natural factors," he said, Sunday, April 25.

The investigation process will be carried out after the appointment of the KRI Nanggala-402 has been completed. KSAL emphasized that the sinking of the ship did not occur due to human error. This is confirmed because during the diving process it has gone through the correct procedure.
