VISION, FESMI AND PAPPRI COMPLY IN RESPONDING TO THE SCATTERING OF NAMES CARRIED OUT BY THE ACTION

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Voice Vibration (VISION), the Federation of Indonesian Musician Unions (FESMI), and the Association of Singer Artists, Songwriters and Musicians of the Republic of Indonesia (PAPPRI) together responded to an open debate initiated by the All-Indonesian Composters Association (AKSI).

The profiteering occurred when the ACTIONS sent messages in the form of invitations for media crews to cover an open debate with a statement 'AKSI vs VISION, FESMI, and PAPPRI' to discuss the Copyright Act at a hotel in Senayan, Central Jakarta on Thursday, April 10.

It was stated that the debate was attended by Ahmad Dhani, Ariel NOAH, Ari Bias, Armand Maulana, Judika, Chairman of FESMI (Cholil Mahmud), Chairman of PAPPRI (Tony Wenas), Rayen Pono, Kadri Mohamad, Minola Sebayang, Piyu, Badai, Posan Tobing, Bembi Noor, Mario Kacang, and Once Mekel.

On the invitation message VISION, FESMI, and PAPPRI felt their names had been used. In the near future, on the evening of Tuesday, April 8, the three of them responded via uploads on their official Instagram Story account.

VISI stated that his party was not involved in the debate. They also ensured that no official invitations came from ACTION.

"We want to emphasize that until now the VISION has nothing to do with the debate event and we have never received an official invitation to attend. Our name has been painted without permission and therefore, we refuse to attend," reads Armand Maulana's statement.

If there are parties who really want to invite us to an open forum, there are more appropriate and professional ways to convey it, not through one-sided news in the media.

Meanwhile, FESMI and PAPPRI responded with identical statements through their respective official Instagram accounts. Both considered the profiteering was inappropriate.

"With this we convey that we did not know anything and were not notified beforehand. We have no discussion agenda and no official invitations have invited FESMI/PAPPRI to discuss," reads the official statement.

"Efforts like this should be prepared and discussed in advance, then confirmed to the invitees, before their names are used and submitted to the public".

On the other hand, the dissemination of information carried out by the Indomusicgram account also received the spotlight. The social media account took a source from Rayen Pono's account narrated that the debate would be attended by representatives of ACTION, VISION, FESMI, and PAPPRI.

Pongki Barata also commented, saying that the information submitted by Indomusikgram had not been confirmed by all parties.

"Dear Indomusikgram, the invitations circulating are still one-sided, there has been no confirmation from other parties," said Pongki. I myself hope that the event can be a healthy discussion and produce useful output for all. Thank you for the support for Indonesian music.

The former Jikustik vocalist's comments also received comments from Febrian Nindyo, HIVI guitarist! who is also the Secretary General of FESMI. He stated that his party did not confirm the debate.

"That's right. Thank you Mas Pongki for informing you," wrote Febri.
