Today Jakarta Air Is Not Healthy, Residents Are Advised To Wear Masks While Doing Activities Outside

JAKARTA - Air quality in DKI Jakarta on Wednesday 9 April morning falls into the unhealthy category based on data from the IQAir air quality monitoring site.

Based on observations at 05.40 WIB, quoted by ANTARA, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Jakarta is at 153 and fine particles with a diameter of 2.5 micro meters (Particulate Matter / PM 2.5) are at 58 micrograms per cubic meter.

Meanwhile, the city with the worst air quality in the world on Wednesday morning was ranked first, namely Kathmandu (Nepal) at 186, secondly, there was Lahore (Pakistan) at 183, third Delhi (India) at 176, fourth Hanoi (Vietnam) at 164.

In fifth place is Kamala (Uganda) at 157. Meanwhile, DKI Jakarta was ranked eighth this morning.

Furthermore, based on the Environmental Information System and Hygiene of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environment Agency, it shows that the air quality in five locations of Air Quality Monitoring Stations (SPKU) is in the medium category or aesthetic value with a PM2.5 range of 51-100.

Some of these SPKU points include Pasar Minggu (South Jakarta) with the Air Quality Index at 84 and Cempaka Putih (Central Jakarta) with an Index at 79.

Kelapa Gading (North Jakarta) at 64, Kalideres (West Jakarta) at 69, and Pulogadung (East Jakarta) at 71.

Through this page, the Jakarta Environment Agency (DLH) recommends that everyone in the area mentioned earlier wear masks if they are outdoor.

Meanwhile, sensitive groups are recommended to rest more often and have light activities, bring personal medicine, and also wear masks.
