JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto is determined to eradicate import rent during a speech at the Economic Defense event at the Mandiri Tower, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 8. Prabowo emphasized that imports of raw materials should not be discriminatory and only benefit a handful of large companies.

On this occasion, President Prabowo also emphasized a warning to the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Ministry of Finance regarding the smuggling of goods from abroad or imports.

Prabowo requested that smuggling of goods from abroad or imports no longer occur. President Prabowo promised to crack down on every official involved or protect smuggling cases.
