Roof Of Nightclub In Dominica Collapsed, 18 People Died

JAKARTA - A total of 18 people were killed and 121 others injured as a result of the roof of a nightclub in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, collapsing.

Rescue teams are trying to get people believed to be still trapped under the rubble, said Juan Manuel Mendez, head of the country's emergency operations hub.

As reported by Reuters on Tuesday, April 8, Mendez did not provide the number of people believed to be inside the Jet Set nightclub, near the coast of the Dominican capital, at the time of the incident.
