Papua Police Chief: Lumawi KKB Headquarters Led By Lekagak Telenggen
JAKARTA - Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri said the Lumawi headquarters was the headquarters of the armed criminal group (KKB) led by Lekagak Telenggen.
"It is true that gunfire occurred around the KKB headquarters located in Makki Village, Ilaga Utara District, Puncak Regency," Inspector General Fakhiri told ANTARA in Jayapura, Tuesday, April 27.
However, he continued, before arriving at the Lumawi headquarters, a gun battle broke out which resulted in the death of a member of the Brimob Kelapa Dua and two other members being injured.
The Papua Police Chief said that the Nemangkawi Task Force personnel consisting of TNI / Polri members had not yet controlled the headquarters so that they could not confirm the identities of the five KKB members who died in gunfire.
"There has been no report on the identity of the KKB members who died," said Inspector General of Police. Fakhiri.
Law enforcement, said the Papua Police Chief, will continue to be carried out against KKB members.
The TNI / Polri who are members of the Nemangkawi Task Force will continue to enforce the law on KKB members who during April shot three civilians, two of whom were teachers who served in Beoga and a student in Ilaga.
