Kiss Of Life Apologizes Again, Write English Letters To The Public

JAKARTA - K-pop group Kiss of Life released the latest apology written in a letter. Previously, they apologized through the agency's statement, S2 Entertainment.

Kiss Of Life always holds birthday shows by making special-themed celebratory videos. To celebrate Julie's birthday, they celebrate their birthday with the hip hop old school concept, but their content is considered sensitive to black culture.

One member, Natty showed her appearance wearing a gold necklace by showing a photo of three black men. Another member, Haneul showed her hair that was braided by cornrows like black culture.

Sunday, April 6, Kiss of Life wrote an apology in English which was shared through their social media accounts.

"For all of our Kissys ( Kiss of Life fans), we really want to apologize because the content we uploaded disappointed our fans. We looked calm outside but the time to get to this letter was honestly very difficult," the members wrote.

"Our attention is to show how much we love the old school hip hop genre because it really affects our music. When shooting the content, we miss the concept," he said.

They just realized that the content they create is included in degrading other people's culture. The four of them feel this is the time they use for them to reflect.

"We know there is no way we can change to change our mistakes. The only thing we can promise is that we will continue to learn and show our sincerity with actions compared to words," he said again.

Our mission is to always spread comfort and love through music. We really regret the choices we made and we apologize for the pain we made. This situation is a valuable experience for us," concluded the members.

The agency also explained that all content related to Julie's birthday event had been removed from the social media Kiss of Life.
