JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Wiku Adisasmito regretted the Jakmania crowd celebrating the victory of Persija Jakarta.
"Supporting activities of one of the national football clubs is very unfortunate because the results of the documentation of these activities clearly show the crowd," Wiku said in a Youtube broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat, Tuesday, April 27.
Wiku asked the local government to crack down on crowds like this. Because, this clearly violates health protocols and has the potential to become a point of transmission for COVID-19.
"I ask the government and regional task forces through the post at the village or sub-district level to take firm action against the people who are still congregating and do not comply with health protocols," said Wiku.
