Acting Governor Of Papua Asks ASN To Be Neutral During PSU

JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua,vistra Limbong asked the state civil apparatus (ASN) to be neutral during the implementation of the Papuan Pilkada Re-voting (PSU) to maintain the smooth running of the democratic process.

"As ASN, they must be neutral and do not side with one of the candidates. If they are proven to be involved, it can be PSU again," saidKEss in Jayapura, Sunday, April 6, as reported by ANTARA.

According tovises, one of the responsibilities as acting Governor is to ensure that the PSU runs safely, smoothly, and successfully so that ASN neutrality becomes an important factor in maintaining the process.

"Regarding the alleged involvement of ASN, we cannot assume because everything must be based on evidence and data. If someone reports it, it will definitely be processed according to the legal mechanism," he said.

He explained that his party also emphasized that it would not tolerate ASN who were proven to have interfered in the PSU.

"If there is a violation, the sanctions will be handed over to Gakkumdu or Bawaslu in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.

This message has been conveyed repeatedly because it must be understood by ASN.

"Therefore, I have repeatedly said, ASN must be neutral. This PSU must be the last, do not let the community continue to be harmed," he said.

Regarding the PSU budget, financing is confirmed to continue to use the APBD. Currently, his party has given permission to the KPU to carry out the stages using the Remaining Budget Financing (Silpa) of the KPU amounting to Rp47 billion.

"The PSU budget will be disbursed in two stages so that the process is more effective, we will optimize the existing APBD," he said.
