Anies' Subordinate Denies That Any Person Passing Quarantine For Indian Foreigners ASN Of The Tourism Office
JAKARTA - Head of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) Gumilar Ekalaya denied that the perpetrators who helped foreign nationals from India escape quarantine after entering Indonesia were his men.
"The two unscrupulous persons are not employees of the Tourism Office ASN," said Gumilar when confirmed, Tuesday, April 27.
According to the police, the father and son of the Indian foreigner who escaped had an airport pass in the name of the DKI Tourism Office. However, Gumilar emphasized that his party did not know the two people.
"We don't know the two people and have never recommended getting an airport pass," he said.
As previously reported, the police arrested the father and son for allegedly helping a foreign national (WNA) from India with the initials JD to enter Indonesia through Soekarno-Hatta Airport without a quarantine period.
The father and son have the initials S and RW. They were arrested on Sunday, April 25th. In carrying out the action, the father and son claimed to be airport officers. They offered JD assistance in exchange for around Rp. 6.5 million.
The police said the perpetrator had an airport pass card from the DKI Jakarta Tourism Office. This card is a sign of permission to enter a restricted area to a certain area. Usually used by parties from certain agencies.
"If from the airport (card) they have, it is stated on the airport pass that the Jakarta Tourism Office," said Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief Kombes Adi Ferdian.
