Indonesia Rises To The Rank Of 123 FIFA. PSSI Chairman: Keep Working Hard To Reach 100 Worlds

JAKARTA - Good news has come for the Indonesian national team. Two matches that have been passed in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in March led Indonesia to rise to ranked 123 in the world in the latest FIFA ranking release issued on April 3, 2025.

PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir is grateful for the best ranking achievement achieved in the last 15 years. With the achievement of the ranking increase, Erick reiterated that hard work will always be paid off with results.

'Alhamdulillah, the victory over Bahrain in the Asian zone World Cup Qualification has made Indonesia's position in the FIFA rankings up 4 places to 123. This 123rd place is Indonesia's best position in the FIFA rankings in the last 15 years,'' he said in Jakarta, Thursday (3/3).

''We will continue to work hard and try to bring Indonesia to the top 100 in the world. Bismillah,'' he continued.

Erick also hopes that the addition of points in FIFA rankings will be a good momentum and will continue to be maintained until next June. In June, Indonesia will play two closing matches of the 2026 World Cup Qualification group C, namely hosting China at the SUGBK Stadium on June 5 and competing against Japan in Osaka on June 10th.
