Shootout With KKB Head Of Telenggen-Papua Forces, Two Mobile Brigade Shoots In The Stomach And Back

JAKARTA - Three members of Brimob became victims during a shootout between the TNI-Police joint team and the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Ilaga, Puncak, Papua. Two of them managed to survive because they were only shot in the stomach and back.

"There were three victims. Two survived and one died", said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Mustofa Kamal, to VOI, Tuesday, April 27.

Two injured victims namely Ipda Anton Tonapa and Bripka M. Syaifudin. Meanwhile, the victim who died was Bharada Komang.

They were involved in a shootout with the KKB led by Lekagak Telenggen at Lumawi Headquarters, Makki Village, Ilaga Utara District, Puncak Regency.

"For Ipda Anton Tonapa was hit by a gunshot in the upper back, Bripka M. Syaifudin was hit in the stomach", said Kamal.

Currently, all victims have been evacuated to Mimika Regional Hospital. Meanwhile, the joint team is still hunting down the group.

"The joint TNI-Police personnel are currently pursuing the KKB led by Lekagak Telenggen", said Kamal.
