The Peak Of The Backflow Of The Flight Line Is Predicted April 6-7

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) predicts that the peak backflow of the Eid Al-Fitr 1446 H holiday at 37 airport flights in Indonesia will occur on April 6-7, 2025.

"Later, after Eid, it is projected around April 7, 2025 as the peak of backflow at flight airports," said InJourney Airports President Director Faik Fahmi as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 2.

On Friday (28/3) as the peak of the Lebaran homecoming flow, for example at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta), Tangerang, Banten, cumulatively reached around 148,000 people, where on average passengers passed per day from March 21 to 28, 155,000 people were recorded.

"And on March 28 it was specifically the peak of the homecoming flow before the Eid celebration period," he said.

During the period of Eid homecoming transportation, everything has gone well and safely. Especially at Soetta Airport, all services at Terminals, both 1, 2, and 3 are opened to serve the homecoming transportation.

"We see that the current condition looks neat, there is no increase. In fact, if we compare it with the previous year, it has increased by 4.9 percent, even if we compare the period before COVID-19, it will increase by 9 percent. Now in the past, it was very crowded," he said.

According to him, this governance change occurred because there was a better increase in management, such as some airline services being moved evenly to other terminals to unravel the accumulation of passengers during the Lebaran homecoming flow.

"In the past, Citilink airline was at Terminal 3, now it has been moved to 1B. In the past, the departure of Umrah pilgrims at Terminal 3 is now at 2F. So management can run well," he said.

In this case, PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia has also ensured the readiness of service facilities at 37 airports in the face of the backflow of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri transportation since April 2, 2025.

"After the smooth homecoming flow, now InJourney Airports is entering a period of backflow. We ensure readiness at every service point both in the departure area and arrival so that all processes at the airport run well," he explained.

The form of readiness for the Lebaran backflow service includes the passenger area, the service points that are the focus, including the smooth access of vehicles to the terminal to take passengers.

"Vehicle traffic inside the airport, including access to the terminal, is very important. We have improved facilities at a number of airports for this, such as at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport which has been added to the road lane and added access to the parking building, then rearranged the toll gate infrastructure and widened road access at the toll gate lane to enter and exit the airport," he said.

According to him, another focus on the departure area is to ensure the smoothness of the check-in process. All airport infrastructure and facilities to support check-in are sure to be ready, including an information system, a self-check engine and a baggage self-deposit engine.

Then, in the arrival area, InJourney Airports together with other stakeholders such as airlines planning a good arrival flow starting from the location of the plane placement to the passengers leaving the airport to go to their homes.

Planning the location of the aircraft placement is very important to support the handling of aircraft passenger baggage.

"Handling baggage is an important point on backflow. InJourney Airports as airport operator continues to coordinate with airlines and ground handling parties to ensure baggage must comply with service standards including delivery time standards from planes to baggage claim areas at terminals for baggage passengers. aircraft passengers, "said Fahmi.
