Juwita Banjarbaru Journalists Raped By TNI Members 2 Times Before Murder
BANJARMASIN - The Juwita family (23) victim of the murder of a journalist in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (Kalsel), said that the alleged perpetrators of the TNI AL Classi Satu J had raped the victim twice before killing the victim.
"Based on the evidence, we convey that the victim was sexually assaulted, this is rape," said a lawyer from the family, Muhamad Pazri, after fulfilling the summons of investigators at the Banjarmasin Indonesian Navy Base Military Police Detachment (Denpomal), Wednesday, April 2.
He said the first incident occurred at a time of 25-30 December 2024. The second incident occurred on March 22, 2025, right on the day the victim's body was found.
"In September 2024, acquaintances via social media, then communication, then exchange telephone numbers, until finally at 25-30 December the perpetrator ordered the victim to book a hotel room in Banjarbaru," said Pazri, representing the family.
He explained that the perpetrator ordered the victim to book a hotel room because he was tired after the activity.
The victim was without suspicion willing to book an inn room at a hotel in Banjarbaru.
After that, said Pazri, the perpetrator asked the victim to wait. After coming on that day, the perpetrator took the victim into the room and pushed her into the bed. The perpetrator had stabbed the victim before forcing her in the room.
"All of these incidents were told by the victim to his brother-in-law on January 26, 2025, the victim showed evidence of a short video, there were even several photos," said Pazri.
Pazri revealed evidence in the video, which lasted about 5 seconds, that the victim recorded the perpetrator wearing pants and clothes after carrying out the action, at that time the victim was scared so that the video recording shook.
Until now, Denpomal Banjarmasin has not been willing to provide official information to journalists.
However, the alleged perpetrator J, who previously served in Lanal Balikpapan, has been handed over by Denpomal Balikpapan to Denpomal Banjarmasin for detention on Friday (28/3) night.
