Ukrainian Drone Attack Forces Dozens Of Residents In Russia's Kursk To Evacuate
JAKATA - Ukrainian drone attacks at night forced the evacuation of 60 people when debris of a drone that crashed hit an apartment building in the Russian city of Kursk.
"As a result of the enemy drone attack in Kursk, there was damage to an apartment building in the city center," said Kursk regional governor Alexander Khinshtein, via a Telegram messaging application reported by Reuters, Wednesday, April 2.
"Fortunately, there were no victims," said Khinshtein.
Another impact, including the strength of the Ukrainian attack, is unclear. There was no immediate comment from Ukraine.
The attack comes as both sides accuse each other of violating a US-brokered partial ceasefire over an attack on the energy and infrastructure of the Black Sea in a three-year war that began with Russia's massive invasion of Ukraine.
