Jokowi Supports The Establishment Of 80,000 Red And White Kopdes To Advance Villages
SOLO - Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Budi Arie Setiadi revealed that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) fully supports the establishment of 80,000 Red and White Village Cooperatives (Kopdes).
According to him, Jokowi has always been in favor of programs that are oriented towards community welfare, including this initiative.
"For the people, Pak Jokowi is always firm and loyal to the lines of the people. He fully supports the establishment of the Red and White Kopdes on condition that they are managed professionally and transparently in order to advance the village and prosper the citizens," said Minister Budi Arie after meeting with Jokowi at his residence in Solo, Tuesday 1 April.
Budi Arie emphasized that Jokowi really cares about fiscal and budget, so he hopes that the Red and White Kopdes will be managed professionally and accountably so that their goals can be achieved.
"The formation of the Red and White Kopdes will be carried out with full accuracy and high risk mitigation. I explain that this Kopdes is an instrument to eliminate extreme poverty, which currently reaches 3.1 million people, eradicate moneylenders, and advance villages," he explained.

Budi Arie further said that currently Indonesia's condition is very good, with sufficient food availability and stable prices. In this situation, the Red and White Kopdes can become an socio-economic movement that strengthens national food security.
"Currently the condition of the country is very good. Supply stability and prices are maintained. In some neighboring countries, rice prices fluctuate, even in Japan it has reached Rp. 98,000 per kg. Therefore, the existence of the Red and White Kopdes must be a socio-economic movement that is aware of the importance of food security for the country," concluded Budi Arie.
With Jokowi's full support, it is hoped that the Red and White Kopdes can become the main pillar in advancing villages, improving people's welfare, and strengthening the national economy.
