Newcastle Asks Liverpool To Release Two Players For Alexander Isak

JAKARTA Newcastle United are said to have asked Liverpool to release their two players, who could be a facilitating exchange deal involving star player Alexander Isak.

Rumors of a player transfer market in the summer window next June began to emerge, including clubs in the English Premier League who have only nine matches left to finish the 2024/2025 season.

Liverpool may be among the most active during the transfer market later as Arne Slot continues to work on strengthening his team following his first season as coach running so fantasticly.

One of the players being hunted by the coach is Alexander Isak. The Swedish national team player is said to be the main target of the Reds in the nearest transfer window.

However, Newcastle United will not release the striker easily. The team nicknamed The Magpies will ask for a high fee plus the two players they want in the deal for their attackers.

Liverpool may have to pay a fee that would be a club record if they wanted to secure Isak's signature this summer. The reason is, many teams are queuing for the player.

To help cut the transfer fee, the Reds are also said to be considering including one or more players as part of the transfer deal.

According to a Give Me Sport report, Liverpool can offer Diogo Jota and Harvey Elliott as part of the deal. Both names are most likely because Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is said to really like these two names.

Previously, Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah were believed to be the most likely candidates to be part of the exchange deal for Isak. This is because Newcastle's previous interest was in the defenders.

In addition, striker who is not at his best, Darwin Nunez, is also touted as a potential choice to join Newcastle. However, the latest report says Newcastle is no longer interested.
