JAKARTA - The explosion at a coal mine in the Asturias region, northern Spain, left nine people injured.

El Mundo newspaper reported that a number of people were trapped in the rubble as a result of the explosion, as reported by Reuters, Monday, March 31.

There have been no detailed reports of the cause of the explosion and the process of handling or evacuating victims.
