Jusuf Hamka Ready To Free The Cisumdawu Toll Road During The Backflow Of Homecomers
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Citra Karya Jabar Tol (CKJT) Jusuf Hamka plans to eliminate the Cileunyi - Sumedang - Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road in order to support smooth traffic for travelers during the return flow of Lebaran.
The plan to eliminate the Cisumdawu Toll Road is still awaiting approval from the government.
"I have been contacted by someone VVIP that the Minister of Transportation and the Minister of Public Works (PU) asked whether it would be possible for (Cisumdawu) to be given a 30 percent toll rate discount, I answered that it was not only possible but why not just give it for free so that it could facilitate," said Jusuf Hamka, Monday, March 31.
His goal is to free the Cisumdawu Toll Road to support smoothness during this year's Eid backflow.
"Never mind giving discounts, I'm ready for free," said Jusuf Hamka.
The Cisumdawu Toll Road is one of the National Straregis Projects (PSN) in West Java and is the main access to Kertajati Airport, which is also PSN status.
This is because the Cisumdawu Toll Road is estimated to cut Bandung-BIJB Kertajati's travel time to only one hour.
This is because the Cisumdawu Toll Road connects Padalarang - Cileunyi Road with the Cikopo-Palimanan or Cipali Toll Road. Cisumdawu Toll Road is spread along 61.75 km and will be the main access to Kertajati Airport in Majalengka. The Cisumdawu Toll Road is also one of the PSN projects in West Java.
The Cisumdawu Toll Road consists of 6 sections built with a Government and Business Entity Cooperation (KPBU) scheme with a construction cost of IDR 5.5 trillion.

Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi said that based on historical data in 2023 and 2024 as well as online surveys, the homecoming day plan is expected to increase backflow movement on D+3 Lebaran until it peaks on D+5 Lebaran or Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Based on the results of an online survey, it is predicted that there will be a movement of 21.5 percent of the community or 31.4 million people. Responding to the results of the survey on the day of the return, the Ministry of Transportation has currently made various efforts including coordinating with other countries' ministries/agencies to distribute the backflow of travelers.
Regarding the choice of the day of return or return to Lebaran, survey respondents generally take advantage of the joint leave period that will be determined by the government in terms of returning to their home domicile area.
For the return of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) it is also estimated that there will be a quite drastic spike, the Ministry of Transportation coordinates with other ministries/agencies, such as the Ministry of Public Works and the Jasa Marga toll road business entity to impose a toll rate discount on the return of travelers, where we will distribute the number of travelers who will return to their home areas.
