Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road Is Crowded, Officers Implement Contraflow Open-Close

JAKARTA - The traffic flow on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road on Eid is quite congested so that officers apply traffic engineering by opening and closing contraflows.

Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) Ria Marlinda Paallo said that open and close the contraflow on the Karawang Toll Road towards Cikampek was carried out by officers over the discretion of the police.

PT JTT implemented a contraflow one lane from KM 47 to KM 65 towards Cikampek on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road from 13.07 WIB. Whereas previously there was a temporary closure of the contraflow KM 55 entrance since 12.30 WIB

"We urge Trans Java toll road users to prioritize safety, prepare themselves before entering a trip on the toll road," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 31.

The density of traffic flow on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, among others, occurred due to long queues of vehicles that were about to enter the rest area. As happened at the point before the rest area of KM 57 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.

At that point several times there were queues that would enter the rest area throughout Monday afternoon.

The queue of vehicles that will enter the rest area has resulted in heavy traffic flow, because the vehicles lining up to the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. In addition, the traffic density was directly resolved after the rest area.

Meanwhile, although there was a traffic congestion on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, traffic flow on the Cipularang Toll Road was observed to be quite busy smoothly.

There is no congestion on the Cipularang Toll Road section, which is available from both directions, both towards Bandung and vice versa, towards Cikampek.
