Dedi Mulyadi: Financial Management Must Be Accounted For, Later In The Hereafter Ditanyya

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi alluded to regional financial management in front of thousands of Eid Al-Fitr 1446 Hijri prayers in Gasibu Field, Bandung.

In his speech before the congregation, Dedi apologized if the West Java Provincial Government had not been able to carry out all its obligations.

Therefore, Dedi wants to build empathy with the people through concrete actions, so Dedi asks all state officials to have collective awareness where they are obliged to provide a sense of security, happiness, and prosperity to the community.

"That is why at this time there is a need for state financial management to be accounted for. Because later in the hereafter it will also be asked," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 31.

The governor's failure, said Dedi, was if there were still beggars at the crossroads, orphans who did not go to school, poor people whose houses were about to collapse, so that someone committed suicide because they were bound by a bankemok or online loan.

Dedi then invited all state administrators, including regents/mayors, village heads, and village heads, to have awareness. The reason, said Dedi, is that the Islam of the leader can be seen from the smiles of the people.

"Let's make this Syawal 1 a collective awareness of rituals and spirituality," he said.

Met after the Eid prayer, Dedi said that in the era of the Prophet SAW, state finances were sourced from zakat which was managed through Baitul Mal with the essence in it building equality for the poor to be equal to the rich, including freeing slaves.

"Budak beli itu kan buruh yang dibayar dengan uang yang sangat rendah, tanpa jaminan kesehatan, jaminan kesejahteraan hari tua. Ini tidak boleh lagi ada, di Indonesia sudah ada undang-undang yang mengatur tentang hak-hak buruh," ucapnya.

In Indonesia itself, continued Dedi, there are various kinds of levies such as levies, annual taxes, then Muslims have an obligation to pay zakat for those who can afford it, then infaq and shadaqah, but it turns out that many have not prospered, thus indicating that financial management is not yet optimal.

"That's why I highlight the financial management and the West Java Provincial Government by alluding to the budget shift Pergub, starting from spending the budget on things that contribute to HR, infrastructure and fiscal investments, as Sundanese say, must be 'Heureut Meuteun' which means you have to be smart in investing," he said.
