Chairman Of The Indonesian House Of Representatives, Puan Maharani: Eid Al-Fitr Arrives, Time To Tighten The Gathering Rope

JAKARTA - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, congratulated Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri for Muslims in the country. He invited the public to strengthen the ties of brotherhood.

"After a month of fasting, God willing, this will be a valuable opportunity for us to strengthen our Islamic faith and piety. Now that victory has arrived, it is time for us to strengthen the ties of friendship," said Puan in a written statement quoted on Monday, March 31.

"Happy Eid Al-Fitr 1446 H, Minal Aidin Wal Faizin, apologize physically and mentally. Hopefully on this holy day, we will all be given blessings, happiness, and be closer in brotherhood," he continued.

Puan emphasized that Eid not only marks a spiritual victory but also strengthens togetherness in the life of the nation and state.

He reminded that Indonesia is a house of diversity. Thus, the spirit of Eid al-Fitr is expected to be a trigger to strengthen togetherness and tolerance to the values of Pancasila and national unity.

"Amid the various challenges we face, only with the unity and spirit of mutual cooperation, we can build a more advanced and prosperous Indonesia," said Puan.

Furthermore, the PDI-P politician invited all Indonesian people to make differences a strength. According to Puan, harmony in differences can contribute to maintaining national unity and integrity.

"Hopefully Eid al-Fitr will bring more blessings and success to the Indonesian nation and state," said Puan.
