SAR Team Evacuates Fishermen Victims Of Overturned Boats In Garut Waters

The Search And Rescue (SAR) team evacuated a fisherman who was previously reported missing after a boat capsized on Weak Beach, Karyasari Village, Cibalong District, Garut Regency, West Java, Saturday.

The head of the Garut Police and Air (Satpolairud) Police, Iptu Aep Saprudin, confirmed the discovery of a body named Rohidin Maulana (34) who was a victim of a marine accident in Garut waters.

"The results of the identification of the medical team with the victim's family confirmed that the body found was Rohidin Maulana, a fisherman who was the victim of a marine accident due to a capsized boat," said Aep.

He said the victim was first reported by a number of fishermen who were fishing in the area, then checked something suspicious and it turned out to be a human body.

The Sinking Team

"The police continue to investigate the incident of the sea accident to determine the exact cause of the capsized boat that claimed the lives of the victims," he said.
