ASDP Prepares Parking At Indah Harbor Kiat To Accommodate 2,000 Vehicles

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has prepared a parking area to accommodate around 2,000 vehicles at Indah Kiat Port. This is to deal with the peak of the 2025 Eid homecoming flow.

President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Heru Widodo said the surge in passengers had been seen starting at 23.00 WIB.

"We will use the parking area in Indah Kiat, which can accommodate more than 2,000 vehicles," Heru said, quoting Antara.

Heru said that with the government's policy that trucks would no longer enter Merak Port, this would be a factor that facilitated vehicles to enter the dock.

"Anticipate the queue of vehicles from 23.00 WIB to 03.00 WIB," he said.

In addition, ASDP also coordinates with BMKG and KSOP Banten I regarding adequate weather forecasts for tonight's crossing.

Heru hopes that the travelers will maintain their physical condition, because this night's journey requires excellent stamina.

"Now it's because there are no more executive piers, everything is regular. I hope the travelers obey the directions of the officers around the port, so that the travelers can go home smoothly and safely," said Heru.

Monitoring at 00.45 WIB, the situation at Merak Port from the entrance was packed with private four-wheeled vehicles and buses, which would take turns heading to the dock.
