DKI Transportation Agency Implements One-way System Towards Ragunan During Eid

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency will implement traffic engineering, namely a one-way system to the Ragunan Wildlife Park (TMR) tourist location, South Jakarta, to avoid a buildup of vehicle volume during the 2025 Eid holiday.

"Monitoring the development of visitors later. At 06.00 WIB to 10.00 WIB, it will be one direction south. Then, for the afternoon, it will also be one direction north," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, March 28.

With this engineering, he hopes that the flow of traffic when people go to TMR and return to their homes in the afternoon can be smooth, especially those passing Jalan TB Simatupang.

Apart from Ragunan, the Department of Transportation (Dishub) also regulates traffic engineering in the Ancol area, Kota Tua and Monas.

"And we will make arrangements in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area because it is also a new tourist destination for residents to carry out post-Eid celebrations," said Syafrin.

Ragunan is one of the tour options in Jakarta, including on the Eid holiday. The number of tourists visiting the location was recorded at 400,000 people during the five Idul Fitri 1445 Hijri holiday and the peak was visited by 112 people in a day.

In Lebaran 2023, the number of tourists visiting the Ragunan Wildlife Park reached 750,000 people.

Meanwhile, other tourist sites, namely Ancol, were visited by 88,000 people on D+2 on the Idul Fitri 1445 Hijri holiday.
