Reported Missing, 12-Year-Old Teenager Found Drowning In Ciliwung River Pasar Rebo

JAKARTA - A teenager named Putra (12), a resident of Kramat Jati, was reported missing and drowned by the current of Alisan Kali Ciliwung who passed by Gang Balai Rakyat, RT 004, Gedong Village, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta.

The victim was reported missing since Thursday, March 27 and until Friday, March 28, the victim's body could not be found by the SAR Team conducting the search.

Based on witness testimony, Riski (11), the victim drowned while playing a slide with 4 other friends.

"The victim played on the edge of the Ciliwung River, then disappeared by the current," Riski told reporters, Friday, March 28.

When he was lost in the current of the Ciliwung River, the victim was wearing red pants. The victim has the characteristics of a thin person and mature sawo skin.

Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of East Jakarta City, Sukendar, said the process of searching for victims had been carried out since last Thursday, March 27.

"The joint SAR team searched from the scene to the Pasar Minggu bridge for 3.5 kilometers, but the victims were still nil," said Sukendar when confirmed by VOI, Friday, March 28.

Furthermore, the search for victims has been continued since Friday morning.

"The joint SAR operation on the second day was divided into 3 SRUs. SRU 1 search location at LKP to Pasar Minggu. SRU 2 searches from LKP to Kalibata. SRU 3 searches using ground visual monitoring," he said.

The joint SAR Team deployed by BPBD Korwil JT, Satpol PP JT, Kansar Jakarta, Disgulkarmat Pasar Rebo, Brimob SAR Kelapa Dua, PMI JT and other elements.
