Saudi Arabian Investors Intervened, Anthony Joshua And Tyson Fury Paid IDR 2.1 Trillion

JAKARTA - Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will get a bombastic payoff from their battle this year. Saudi Arabian inventors have reportedly stepped in and are ready to stage this blockbuster event.

Two British heavyweight world champions are finally getting ready to step out of the ring in a thriller consisting of two parts. Joshua and Fury will get paid 150 million US dollars (Rp2, 1 trillion).

Joshua's WBA, WBO and IBF belts are all at stake, while the WBC title won by Fury from Deontay Wilder last year will also be up for grabs. This means that the heavyweight division can finally unite.

The details of the fight are yet to be finalized, but it seems increasingly likely that the first part will take place in Saudi Arabia, before Wembley's rematch later this year.

According to ESPN, once an agreement is reached, the fighters will get 75 million US dollars each. That's about three times what Joshua paid for his fight against Andy Ruiz Jr.

"We have a contract now. This is a big step. We are only working on administrative matters now with the Saudis," US-based Fury promoter Bob Arum told Boxing Scene.

Meanwhile, Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, admits the fight may not last until August.

"They've signed a contract," said the Matchroom boss.

"We haven't finalized the exact date yet, July 24th is the rough date, but it might be leaking until early August."

Currently, the parties are completing the agreement document and an official announcement will be released soon. They are working non-stop for this big fight this summer.
