Kim Soo Hyun Threatened To Be Fined Worth Rp. 14 Billion After Canceling Events In Taiwan

JAKARTA - Taiwan's fan meeting, which was supposed to be Kim Soo Hyun's first official appearance after a recent controversy, has been canceled. On March 25, Taiwan's 7-Eleven, a multi-shop brand that hosted the event, officially announced the cancellation through its social media accounts.

"We regret to inform you that Kim Soo Hyun will not be able to attend the fan meeting scheduled for March 30 due to a schedule conflict. We apologize for the inconvenience that might be caused to our members," said 7-Eleven Taiwan.

The brand that organized the event will not only plan a fan meeting, but will also release a product featuring Kim Soo Hyun's image.

Local industry players estimate that cancellation of the event could result in a fine of around 1.3 billion KRW (around Rp. 14 M).

Previously, Kim Soo Hyun was scheduled to attend the Kaohsiung Sakura Flower Festival on March 30, she also participated in a fan meeting on the last day of the festival for about 40 minutes.

However, the actor recently faced accusations that he had been in a relationship for six years with late actress Kim Sae Ron since she was a minor, which led to allegations of fraud.

While Kim Soo Hyun admits their past relationship, she insists that they only started dating after growing up.

The fan meeting event has attracted significant attention, given that this fan meeting event is his first public appearance scheduled since the controversy.
