Car Hit By Batara Kresna Train In Sukoharjo, 4 Homecomers Died
SOKOHARJO - Four travelers died as a result of a collision between car number B 2283 BYJ and the Batara Kresna Railway (KA) which drove from Wonogiri to Sukoharjo.
Sukoharjo Police Chief AKBP Anggaito Hadi Prabowo said the accident occurred at the Sukoharjo Railway crossing, Kota.
"There has been an accident between the Batara Kresna Sukoharjo-Wonogiri train and a four-wheeled Daihatsu Sigra vehicle containing seven passengers from Jakarta to Sukoharjo and Wonogiri," said Anggaito, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 26.
He said the car contained two families. From the results of identification in the field, there were four people who died and three people were slightly injured.
The victims who died had the initials A (42), P (44), M (42), and N (12). Meanwhile, three people were lightly injured who were being treated intensively at Sukoharjo Hospital.
He said that from the results of the initial investigation of the collision that occurred at 08.30 WIB, it was due to negligence from the bar officers who were late in closing the railroad bars, causing the car to enter the train line and be hit by the train.
"Therefore, from the initial investigation, we secured the railroadstop officers. Now the bars are at the Sukoharjo Police Traffic Unit, while now the car has been evacuated and the tracks are just cleaned, they will be able to be passed again," he said.
He said that the officers would then conduct an in-depth examination of the bar officers.

Meanwhile, he said, the passengers of the car were travelers who were going to Nguter, Sukoharjo and Wonogiri.
"If the ID card is already on the Jakarta ID card. Based on information from the survivors, they are a group of two family appointments going to Wonogiri and Nguter. The travelers, earlier the initials A, M, and N were family members. P is the head of the family of the three survivors," he said.
