D-6 Lebaran 2025, Sales Of Train Tickets Reach More Than 2.8 Million Seats
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that ticket sales for the Lebaran period had reached more than 2.8 million. The ticket sales show the high enthusiasm of the community in utilizing train services.
KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba said KAI provides 4,591,510 seating capacity, of which tickets that have been sold have reached 2,875,895 as of March 25, 2025 at 06.00 WIB.
"The total sales reached 2,875,895 tickets or 63 percent of the total capacity provided," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, March 25.
Of these, 2,662,757 tickets were for long-distance train trips with an occupancy rate of 77 percent. Meanwhile, local train ticket sales were recorded at 213,138 tickets or 19 percent of the total capacity.
In the first four days from March 21 to 24, 2025 at 24.00 WIB, KAI has dispatched 689,274 passengers in Java and Sumatra.
During that period, the five stations with the highest number of passenger departures for long-distance trains were Pasarsenen Station with 117,569 passengers, followed by Gambir Station with 44,967 passengers, Yogyakarta Station with 31,540 passengers, Semarang Poncol Station serving 25,616 passengers, and Bekasi Station with 23,265 passengers.
