Awaiting Hazard's Reunion With Chelsea In The Champions League Semifinals

JAKARTA - Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that Eden Hazard is ready for a reunion with Chelsea. Real Madrid also hopes that Toni Kroos will be ready for the first leg of the Champions League semi-final which will take place on Wednesday, 28 April in the morning CET at Estadio Alfredo di Stefano.

Madrid have been hit by a hurricane of injuries this season, with the Belgian midfielder being the player who has been absent for the longest time in Zidane's side.

However, Hazard has recovered and featured 15 minutes off the bench in Los Blancos' clash with Real Betis on Monday.

The 29-year-old player now has the opportunity to face his former club.

Zidane said at a press conference ahead of the match that Hazard was ready to play in the first leg of the semi-final.

"I don't see Eden having any doubts. He looked very good on the pitch a few days ago," the French coach said on Real Madrid's official website.

"That's the most important, not feeling anything from his old problems. Now he is good, and now he is moving forward. We are happy that he is with us, he will bring a lot to the team."

Germany midfielder Toni Kroos has also been out of action since the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Liverpool on April 14, but is now set to play.

However, French left-back Ferland Mendy will definitely miss out as he is still recovering from a calf problem.

"Toni will be available, Ferland will not (play)," added Zidane.

Zidane also responded to a question about whether Madrid's involvement in the European Super League would prevent them from participating in UEFA competitions.

"It makes no sense to think that we will not be in the Champions League (next season)."

"There is a lot of talk from outside. There will be a lot of talk, but because we are not controlling it, I am just focused on the game."

"My opinion is we all want to see Madrid in the Champions League."
